Your Time With Jen and Erin :
Your 10 days in Gourdon, France will be a beautiful blend of colorful art making, inspiring excursions, cultural experiences and of course, plenty of free time to relax and explore! You can arrive, unpack all your goodies and settle in at the gorgeous Perigord Retreat Villas, where our group will be making our home for the next 10 days! Feel free to take a dip in the luxurious indoor pool, stroll through the stunning gardens or pop into the spacious studio where we will be making magic together!
During our time together, Jen will guide you through a variety of art activities ranging from painting colorful pastel portraits and plein-air paintings to arranging simple but beautiful Ikebana floral arrangements. Jen’s bringing along an exceptional and talented guest teacher - her sister, Erin - who will be guiding you through the process of designing and creating stunning mosaic artworks, from start to finish. When we're not creating in the studio or gardens, we’ll be visiting enchanting medieval villages, strolling through French vintage markets, touring ancient castles, picnicking in the French countryside and creating all along the way…the inspiration is endless!

A Bit About the Artists:
Jennifer and Erin are both colorful, Southern California Artists, and Educators. Their art and offerings are an invitation for people to experience freedom, connection and just plain joy.
Jen’s been making art, both hangable and wearable since she can remember. From guitar picks to her favorite pair of boots, she’s painted on everything under the sun. Jen feels alive and free when splashing around in her small but spirited studio. Her favorite subjects to paint are people and elephants. She feels deeply connected to humanity when she’s attempting to capture the essence of another living being in a painting; it’s often a spiritual experience for her.
Erin began creating mosaics nearly 25 years ago after being inspired by her travels and the work of Antonio Gaudí. She’s covered a variety of surfaces, from picture frames to chairs and table tops in gorgeous tessarae tiles. A creation that is near and dear to Erin’s heart is a collaboration with her daughter, Lauren, that they designed together on an heirloom table built by a loved one. She fell in love with the process of taking broken pieces and transforming them into something beautiful through mosaic pattern and design - it’s a metaphor for life and medicine for her soul.
Jen and Erin have both been teaching for over 25 years. They love sharing their passions for art-making and expression with people of all ages and abilities. Helping others experience the joy and freedom that creativity has to offer makes their sister-souls sing.
